00 per hour Wednesday-Saturday 2:

00am (10-hour shift) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday off Time and a half/ overtime available ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Youth Mentor/ Counselor is dedicated to the direct supervision of adolescent boys in a short-term transitional living program.
Youth Counselors cultivate a safe, healthy, therapeutic, nurturing and caring home environment that is supportive of each participant's individualized needs, social, emotional, and academic development.
Youth Counselors are positive role models offering support, strength-based encouragement and protection of youth in their care, advocating for youth and sharing information and updates with parents/guardians.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months' experience in this line of work High School Diploma/ GED Demonstrated ability to work with youth Professional written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of strengths-based and trauma sensitive programming (preferred) Ability to obtain and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certificate Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certificate Must have valid driver's license Maintain good communication with staff Provide crisis intervention as needed Respond to any illnesses or physical problem boys may develop Maintain awareness of all boys and monitor closely boys with specific problems, potential runaways, severe depression, bedwetters, etc.
