Facilitates the overall development of the staff education and competency programs In general, most of the time will be spent in the following activities:
Develops/coordinates curriculum to meet learning needs of clinical staff and conducts competency testing based on annual needs assessment and strategic initiatives Identifies trends in the health care areas and develops/coordinates curriculum to maintain clinical competencies Collaborates with management to implement and evaluate programs ensuring clinical disciplines have the necessary clinical competencies Trains clinical staff to ensure proficiency in the organization's EMR Assists management with developing and coordinating clinical orientations across affiliates Develops, facilitates and/or provides in-service offerings to assist clinical specialty service development and delivery Develops, facilitates and/or provides in-service offerings as needed to assist clinical disciplines in performing job functions and evaluates effectiveness of in-service programs and educators involved Assists in quality and documentation audits Acts as a clinical resource to staff and management Tracks education program attendance in order to monitor compliance with regulatory agencies Participates in quality assurance audit, committees & projects as needed
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of NLN-approved BSN program; Master's Degree preferred.
Background in nursing education preferred.
Experience:
Three years clinical experience.
